Ngurah Rai Airport Fast Track and eVOA Explained (2026)

Ngurah Rai Airport Fast Track and eVOA Explained (2026)

Ngurah Rai airport fast track and your eVOA are separate. You apply for and pay the eVOA yourself on the official Indonesian Immigration portal, or on arrival where that option is offered, and immigration alone decides who may use the e-gates. Fast track adds a personal escort plus baggage and customs help around those checks. It waives no fee, rule or inspection.

Most confusion at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) starts with one assumption: that paying for fast track takes care of entry paperwork. It does not. Below, as of 2026 and subject to change, is what belongs to you, what belongs to immigration and where Bali Premium Trip helps. Bali Premium Trip is an independent concierge, not the airport operator or immigration, and it plays no part in approving anyone’s entry.

What is the eVOA, and who is responsible for it?

The eVOA is the electronic arrival authorisation many foreign visitors use for a short stay in Indonesia. Three points matter:

  • You apply and you pay. Both happen on the official Indonesian Immigration portal. Check the current fee, eligibility and length of stay there.
  • Apply before you fly where you can. An approved eVOA on your phone, plus a paper copy, means one less open question after landing. Paying on arrival exists where immigration offers it, on its own timing.
  • Fast track does not include it. Bali Premium Trip’s own 2026 materials state that the arrival fee is separate and paid by the traveller.

If you do not qualify for the eVOA, fast track cannot change that. Settle your entry status first.

How do e-gates at DPS fit into the arrival?

Automated e-gates are self-service passport gates in the international arrivals hall. Indonesian immigration sets who may use them (passports, ages, entry types), and those criteria can change without notice. On the ground:

  1. Eligible? You pass through the e-gate yourself. Your escort walks you to the right area and picks you up again on the other side.
  2. Not eligible, or the gate rejects your passport? Officers direct you to the fast track lane or a manned counter, where your documents are inspected in full.
  3. Mixed group? Families follow the officers’ instructions; the escort keeps everyone together where the rules allow.

Fast track never grants e-gate access and never shortens an officer’s inspection.

Is the Bali tourism levy the same as the eVOA?

No. According to the official Love Bali channel, foreign visitors have owed a separate Bali tourism levy of IDR 150,000 per person since February 2024 (as of 2026, subject to change), paid through that channel.

How does booking work?

  1. Sort your entry first. Get the eVOA approved on the official portal and pay the Bali levy. Save both confirmations offline.
  2. Choose a tier. Weigh luggage, group size and whether you need a car or lounge.
  3. Send your details. Flight number and date, names exactly as printed in passports, passenger count and children’s ages, luggage count, special items such as strollers, surfboards or wheelchair needs, and your hotel or pickup area.
  4. Get confirmation. The concierge confirms the meeting point and name sign. On VIP and VVIP, flight monitoring shifts the meeting time if your flight runs late.
  5. Land and follow your escort. Clear the official checks yourself; staff handle the walking, bags and car.

Wheelchairs are requested through your airline; the concierge adds escort and porter support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Ngurah Rai airport fast track include the eVOA fee?

No. The eVOA is applied for and paid by the traveller on the official Indonesian Immigration portal, or on arrival where that option exists. Bali Premium Trip’s Essential USD 105, VIP USD 500 and VVIP USD 1,500 tiers cover arrival handling such as escort, baggage and customs guidance, as of 2026. The eVOA and the Bali tourism levy are always paid separately.

Can I book fast track at DPS if I plan to pay for my eVOA on arrival?

Yes, where immigration offers on-arrival payment, your escort can walk you to that counter. The payment, any queue there and the officer’s inspection all run on immigration’s timing, and the fast track lane does not skip them. Applying online before you fly usually leaves one less step waiting for you after landing.

Will fast track staff take me through the e-gates at Bali airport?

No. E-gate eligibility is set by Indonesian immigration, and eligible travellers use the gates on their own. Your escort walks you to the right area and meets you on the far side. If you are not eligible or a gate rejects your passport, officers send you to a manned counter, where documents are still inspected in full.

Do I still pay the Bali tourism levy if I use fast track?

Yes. Foreign visitors owe IDR 150,000 per person through the official Love Bali channel, in force since February 2024 (as of 2026, subject to change). It is separate from the eVOA and from any fast track fee. Pay it before travel where possible and keep the confirmation with your passport for the arrival.
